In 2002, Sunny Bajaj started DMI in a basement when he was 25 years old. The company started out reselling technology products and was soon awarded the first of many government contracts. Sunny defined a set of principles that would guide his company as it grew. These guiding principles are still in place today:
As DMI began doing work for multiple agencies, the company started to win accolades and gain a reputation for innovative, quality delivery, becoming CMMI and ISO certified in the process. Named to the Inc. 5000 list of fastest growing private companies in the U.S. for the first time in 2007, DMI’s growth has only accelerated from there. By 2012, the company’s ten-year anniversary, DMI had grown to more than 1,200 employees and was named to the Inc. 500 list of fastest growing companies.
As the company began to win more business, adding revenue and employees, Sunny began to recognize an emerging opportunity in the marketplace. The world was going mobile. Suddenly, everyone had a smartphone or tablet. Technology had become untethered, and the way companies interact with their customers and employees would never be the same. Sunny wanted DMI to be a part of that revolution. With the organization’s extensive experience in the digital and mobile space, DMI was perfectly poised to help companies reinvent business through mobility.
